Connect Ärikratt to your AI assistant.

MCP is an open standard that lets an AI assistant query data straight from the source. Ärikratt MCP gives it Estonian company register data — revenue, taxes, tax debt, state aid, licences, open calls and tenders — with the exact registry code, source and as-of date.

Why MCP rather than plain web search?

Every claim has a source. No percentage is an Estonian registry error rate.
Question
Ordinary AI chat with web search
Ärikratt MCP
How accurate are the numbers?revenue, profit, employees, taxes
Web search: On news-citation queries, generative search tools were wrong more than 60% of the time (Tow Center, 2025). That measured attribution of an article, not a balance-sheet cell.
Ärikratt MCP: In the DataGemma test (101 questions), statistical accuracy without a lookup was 5–17%. A number cited from the structured store was about 99% accurate, but the model then drew a wrong inference 6–20% of the time. Ärikratt returns the field from the official file; read the sentence around it.
Is this the right company?similar names, groups
Web search: A name search collides similar private limited companies. Estonia had 139,774 economically active private limited companies in 2025; the small ones are not in the news.
Ärikratt MCP: The match is the 8-digit registry code. An obliged entity identifies a legal person by registry code, not by a similar name (RahaPTS).
Where does the number come from, and as of when?
Web search: The same question can produce a different answer next time (Tow Center). A link to a web page can change or disappear.
Ärikratt MCP: Each field names the source file and the as-of date: register daily, annual indicators monthly, EMTA taxes quarterly, tax debt as a daily file. The same code and the same as-of date return the same record.
Is the data even on the web?EMTA quarters, tax debt, state aid, licences
Web search: Automated scripts are prohibited on the e-Business Register web service. Teatmik disallows crawling the whole site. EMTA quarterly turnover and tax debt are CSV files, not a company web page.
Ärikratt MCP: Open data is the permitted machine-readable path. EMTA quarterly turnover is not annual-report revenue: it includes reverse-charge purchases. The tax-debt threshold is €100; scheduled and contested amounts are separate columns.
How many companies at once?a client list, a sector, a county
Web search: 100 company pages at the register crawl-delay of 10 seconds is at least 17 minutes of waiting, and the terms forbid that script. On one admin task a browser agent used about 45× more input tokens than a structured API (Reflex; small sample, not an Estonian register).
Ärikratt MCP: One filter over files that already exist, for example debt × activity × county. Browsing 139,774 companies one page at a time is not a query.
Can I later check what the assistant saw?
Web search: A paragraph of prose cannot be checked against the same file tomorrow. A search answer does not name the field or the as-of date.
Ärikratt MCP: What you can check is the registry code, the field name, the source file and the as-of date. The snapshot id is a product marker so the same call can be repeated.

Honest note: web search is still the right tool for news, the company website, product and hiring pages, and anything that happened after the last official refresh. The register updates daily, annual-report indicators monthly, and EMTA taxes quarterly with a publication lag. The assistant can use both — MCP for a register field, web search for context.

  1. Tow Center / CJR, 6 March 2025 — News attribution, 1,600 queries. Not a measurement of Estonian registries.
  2. Google Research, DataGemma — 101 statistical questions. The cited cell and the sentence around it are different things.
  3. RIK — Automated use of the web service is prohibited; open data is the exception.
  4. EMTA — Quarterly turnover (including reverse charge) is a CSV. Tax debt is a daily file, €100 floor, scheduled and contested amounts split.
  5. Statistics Estonia, 2025 — 139,774 economically active private limited companies in 2025.
  6. RahaPTS — A legal person is identified by registry code.
  7. Reflex, 27 April 2026 — Browser agent versus API on the same admin task. Small sample, not an Estonian register.
  8. Song et al., arXiv:2410.16464 — A hybrid of API and browsing beat either tool alone.
  9. robots.txt, 25 Sep 2026 — ariregister.rik.ee, teatmik.ee (Disallow: /), e-krediidiinfo.ee disallows search and company paths.

How to connect

about 2 minutes
  1. Sign in and create a keySign in and create one key. The free quota is 2,000 calls a month and 200 a day. The key is personal.
  2. Claude (claude.ai, Desktop, Cowork)Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → URL https://arikratt.ee/mcp. Sign in with your Ärikratt account and give consent. Do not paste a key there; the same connection is for Cowork too.
  3. Cursor, Claude Code, scriptsAdd the server with an Authorization: Bearer header and the key (example beside this). Never put the key in the URL. This is the path that works today.
  4. Ask the first question“Does registry code 12345678 have tax debt or a missing annual report?” — the assistant calls the tool itself. The answer carries the registry code, period and source.
The answer is a model’s reading of a dated register snapshot — not an official register extract, legal advice or a credit decision. Before an important decision, check the register.

Try right away: “Does registry code 12345678 have tax debt or a missing annual report?”

Check it works: The tool list (tools/list) appears in the client; ask about one registry code and the answer should carry the code and a source.

Store the key like a password. Never put it in a URL or share it. Rotate it on the account page, or write to arikratt@r-53.com.

FAQ

Which sources do the data come from?

Business Register open data and annual reports, EMTA quarterly figures and the tax-debt list, the state-aid register (RAR/RTK), the economic-activity register (MTR), official notices, public EIS/PRIA/KIK calls, and the public procurement register. Every answer names the source.

How fresh is the data?

The same snapshot as the website: most sources update once a day, EMTA quarterly figures once a quarter, annual reports after they are filed. The answer carries the snapshot id and the as-of date.

Do you share data about natural persons?

get_company returns the name, role and start date of current board members of one commercial company; those names are not indexed. Personal codes, birth dates, addresses and contacts are not shared. There is no person search. `shared_board` shows companies that share a board member, and how many, but never the person. Natural-person shareholders, beneficial owners and sole traders are not shown. Identifying people is prohibited by the terms.

Is this an official extract or a decision about granting credit?

Neither. Ärikratt returns figures and public signals with a source. The answer is a model’s reading of a dated snapshot, not an official register extract, legal advice or a credit decision. Check important decisions at the source.

What is logged?

For limits and support, usage records per key or shared MCP subscription store the timestamp, tool name, success, row count, duration and overage flag. Registry codes from requests or replies are stored separately (up to 500 distinct codes per day). These records do not store free-text arguments, snapshot IDs or chat content.

Which clients work?

An MCP client that sends an Authorization: Bearer header — Cursor, Claude Code and scripts. The Claude custom connector (claude.ai, Desktop, Cowork) signs in with an Ärikratt account and confirms consent. The names are trademarks of their owners.

EU AI Act, art 50

Article 50 requires saying that the text was produced by an AI system and marking generated content. That does not make a company-register lookup a high-risk system. Ärikratt returns the source, period and snapshot id so the assistant can label the answer and you can check the number at the source.
